Definition

Total and permanent loss of muscle function to the whole of at least two limbs as a result of injury or disease of the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves.

Claim Requirements

  • Total loss of muscle function
  • Whole of at least two limbs affected
  • Due to brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerve damage
  • Permanent condition

Exclusions

  • Partial paralysis
  • Single limb paralysis
