Chronic and end stage failure of both kidneys to function, as a result of which regular dialysis is necessary or kidney transplantation is carried out.

Claim Requirements

Both kidneys affected
Requiring regular dialysis (peritoneal or haemodialysis) OR
Undergoing kidney transplantation

Exclusions

Acute kidney injury with recovery
Temporary dialysis
